Forum 2000

October 9, 2007

For the last two days I’ve been stopping in on various lectures for the Forum 2000 conference ( which was started in 1996 by the Czech President Václav Havel, Japanese philanthropist Yohei Sasakawa, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Elie Wiesel in order to identify and solve problems that involve religion, culture or ethnicity in the world. The discussions I’ve attended have involved mostly Middle Eastern issues like Palestine/Israel and Muslims in the West. But more on it later, must run to a family dinner up at the Osadni dorm.
